Teaching Opportunities

Because hospice and palliative medicine is still in its adolescence, we ensure that all fellows gain the foundational skills to teach effectively—so they can educate future providers and shape the future of our young field.

Our Fellows as Teachers (FasT) curriculum focuses on WHAT and HOW to teach effectively. The teaching experiences you have during fellowship transfer into clinical settings, and will serve your well long after graduation.

We also offer a medical education elective, opportunities for additional mentorship and projects, and an optional second year specifically focused on medical education.

Educator Development

The Department of Medicine's Fellow Medical Education (FAME) Training Track trains fellows to become effective clinician-teachers and scholars.
