Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Diagnosis Education

Dr. Robert Przybelski is a memory and dementia physician trained through the Neuroscience Program research fellowship at Walter Reed Institute of Research. He was Medical Director of the U.S. Army's Neurosciences Laboratory before coming to the University of Wisconsin to help develop the memory program. From his clinical panel of over 3,000 memory patients, he selects patients for PET scan neuroimaging and refers patients to other investigators' studies. He has developed the "Medically Optimized Subjects for Treatments and Trials" (MOSTT) panel to create the ideal patients for research protocols.

Dr. Przybelski also trains fellow, residents and medical students from multiple disciplines to diagnose and treat dementia, and directs their research efforts in vitamin deficiencies and sleep apnea.
