Aims

  1. Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity. To create a supportive training environment and culture that is inclusive, equitable, respectful, and culturally-sensitive to learners and patients, celebrating the diversity of our patients and community, while providing high-quality patient-centered care. To recruit and train cardiologists from a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences with demonstrated humanistic, academic, and scholarly skills.
  2. Mentoring. To meet the individualized educational and mentoring needs to allow fellows to reach their maximum potential and future career goals.
  3. Learning and Education. To provide a training environment that fosters the learner’s ability to progress in all educational milestones covered by the core competencies through clinical, simulated, didactic and mentoring experiences, and to promote innovation in education and life-long learning.
  4. Program Development. To work collaboratively with program leadership, division leadership, mentors, faculty, and trainees to continuously enhance learning opportunities.
