Nephrology Assigned Rotations

Acute Nephrology Consult Service

At UW Hospital and the Veterans Hospital, including the workup and management of acute renal failure, continuous renal replacement therapy, and diagnosis and management of fluid and electrolyte disorders.

Chronic Inpatient Dialysis Consult Service

At UW Hospital and the Veterans Hospital; includes caring for hospitalized patients who have end stage renal disease prior to admission as well as performing procedures such as native kidney biopsy and non-tunneled HD line placement.

Kidney transplant service

At UW Hospital, including caring for hospitalized patients who have end stage renal disease prior to admission as well as performing procedures such as native kidney biopsy and non-tunneled HD line placement.

Acute Nephrology Consult and Chronic Inpatient Dialysis Consult Service

At private community hospital, Meriter Hospital.

Outpatient Dialysis

Including in-center hemodialysis, home hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis.

Ambulatory Care Clinic

For patients with kidney disease, hypertension, transplantation, glomerular disease, polycystic kidney disease, and renal stone disease at University Clinics and the Veterans Hospital Clinics.
