Meet an Alum
Class of 2022
Post-graduate employment: Clinical assistant professor, University of Wisconsin Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology
How our program prepared him: “The fellowship provided excellent exposure and training in nephrology procedures, transplant and interventional nephrology, basic POCUS, leadership, QI, promotion of a growth mindset, and longitudinal career planning and development. My mentor was an honest evaluator, and she motivated me to achieve more than I thought was possible for myself.”
Class of 2024
Post-graduate employment: Nephrologist at Allina, St Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota
How our program prepared him: "I gained well-rounded training in three high-quality hospitals, sub-specialty clinics overlapping with multiple departments (including rheumatology, urology, pediatric nephrology, immunology, transfusion medicine and pathology). UW allowed me to fully experience the lifestyles of academic, private practice and government employers. I gained meaningful experience in telehealth encounters, which I now use extensively in my current job. Of course, I learned so much from phenomenal faculty and instructors in pharmacology and home dialysis."
