Training Faculty and Opportunities:

Participating faculty possess a broad range of expertise in both the basic and clinical sciences, providing a wide breadth of training experiences, and fostering multidisciplinary approaches in our trainees. Graduate programs represented include Biomolecular Chemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology; clinical fellowship programs include Adult Hematology, Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, and Transfusion Medicine. Clinical trainees may also join the NIH-funded UW Institute for Clinical & Translational Research (UW ICTR) which provides didactic training in biostatistics, epidemiology, clinical trial design, and practical skills such as scientific and grant writing. The University of Wisconsin with its outstanding MD-PhD program and long tradition of excellence in research and clinical services provides an excellent training environment.
