On behalf of the faculty and staff at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care Division, thank you for your interest in our Hematology & Medical Oncology training program.
The University of Wisconsin-Madison, one of the world's premier research institutions, is one of approximately 40 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the United States. Our campus is located in one of America's most desirable places to live and is gifted with the breathtaking natural beauty of a lakeside campus. Madison offers a wide variety of cultural activities, from museums to plays, and many natural lakes, parks, and recreational trails to enjoy outdoor activities.
Our fellowship is a combined, 3-year Hematology and Medical Oncology program that will provide you with excellent clinical training and opportunity to delve into basic and clinical research. After completion, you will be eligible to sit for the Boards in both specialties. The program is structured with a core curriculum and elective time to help the fellow develop a training plan that best fits their individual career interests. We accept applications only through ERAS.
The application deadline to our Fellowship program is August 1st each year.
Our mission is to continue training excellent researchers and clinicians who are ready for a career in Hematology/Medical Oncology. As a fellow, you will experience a rich clinical training program, providing care to patients who are from diverse ethnic backgrounds and have a broad spectrum of neoplastic and hematologic clinical disorders. Beyond the fellowship's core curriculum, there are many opportunities for fellows to become involved in clinical and laboratory research. For example, interested fellows have sought Masters degrees in Population Health or Clinical Investigation through well established programs. We have access to many training grants to support fellows' interest in training to become academic researchers.
We hope you find our fellowship interesting and if there is any further information we can provide you please do not hesitate to contact us at (608) 263-4459 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
