Heart Failure Research

Heart failure research in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine ranges from the intricate molecular details of cardiomyocyte contractile dysfunction to clinical trials testing promising new therapies. Investigators with broad basic science and clinical expertise are striving for an integrated understanding of heart failure and ways to improve its treatment. Multiple collaborative projects are underway with investigators from other UW departments, including the Departments of Physiology, Pharmacology, Radiology and Surgery.
