Focusing on Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Treatment

The University of Wisconsin Cardiovascular Research Center (UW CVRC) in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is the academic home for nearly 100 UW–Madison scientists, physicians and educators working on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease through basic research, clinical investigation, diagnosis and therapy, and public education.

Education and Training

The CVRC offers unique training opportunities for medical, graduate, and post-graduate students interested in translational cardiovascular science and clinical practice.

Translational Research

The CVRC also houses a wide range of cardiovascular science research. 

Of particular note are programs in heart failure, ion channels and arrhythmias, and vascular biology.
