Cardiovascular Medicine Grand Rounds RSS

The Cardiovascular Medicine Grand Rounds Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS) features weekly lectures presented by UW faculty, fellows, and visiting faculty from around the country. The series addresses new and/or developing research, technology, therapy, and practice guidelines in cardiovascular disease, clinical cardiac electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and advanced heart failure and transplantation. The target audience includes cardiovascular medicine physicians, fellows, residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, lab personnel, and medical students. Some sessions may be relevant to internal medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, pediatric cardiology and other specialties.

Sessions are held Thursdays from 7:30-8:30am and are currently being hosted via Webex unless otherwise noted.

Claiming CME Credit

  1. A unique 6-digit code is provided at each grand rounds session.
  2. Text the 6-digit code to phone number 608-260-7097.
  3. You should receive a text confirming your attendance and, if applicable, an evaluation link. If no account is associated with your mobile number, follow the prompts to create/update your profile.

Obtaining Your CME Credit Record

For sessions that occurred on or after July 1, 2018, log-in to your UW-ICEP Account using your UW NetID login (or Visitor login) and password. Under ‘My Account’, select the ‘My Activities’ tab then select the ‘Completed Activities’ tab. Enter the range of dates needed, click ‘Apply’, then click ‘Download PDF’.

For sessions that occurred prior to July 1, 2018, please complete the OCPD CME Credit Reprint Request Form.

Credit Designation Statements
American Medical Association (AMA)

The University of Wisconsin-Madison ICEP designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 ANCC contact hour. ANCC pharmacotherapeutic contact hours will be calculated and awarded as appropriate per session to meet the needs of advanced practice nurses.

AAPA Credit Designation Statement

APAA Accredidation LogoThe University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 1 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Approval is valid until 6/30/2022. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Continuing Education Units

The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP, as a member of the University Professional & Continuing Education Association (UPCEA), authorizes this program for 0.1 continuing education units (CEUs) or 1 hour.
