Aims

  • Train fellows in interventional pulmonology with sufficient expertise to act as a competent and independent consultant for complex diseases of the chest involving the airways, lung parenchyma and pleural space with a focus on minimally-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.  
  • Culture an evidence-based approach to care through literature evaluations, guideline focused practice, and support for the development and pursuit of novel research questions.
  • Promote interdisciplinary care through collaboration with a multitude of services including primary medicine, thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, otolaryngology, respiratory therapy and nursing.
  • Administer and maintain a learning and working environment that is committed to promoting safety, well-being, professionalism, and ethical conduct to the benefit of our patients, fellow(s), physicians and staff.
