About Our Program

The University of Wisconsin Lung Transplant Fellowship is a non-accredited 1-year program that partners closely with the UW Health Lung Transplant Center and the Madison VA, one of only three VA hospitals in the country that offer lung transplantation and one of eight programs continuously in operation since inception in 1988.

Trainees will be welcomed by a growing lung transplant team dedicated to improving the quality of care for our patients.

Meet Our Program Director

“As a transplant pulmonologist, the most rewarding aspect of my career is caring for patients many years out from transplant; I enjoy their stories made possible by the gift of organ donation. I remember first feeling that ‘spark’ of joy in fellowship thanks to early exposure to lung transplant and having an excellent mentor. The second most rewarding aspect of my career is helping others find that same ‘spark’ for their future. We look forward to creating a unique transplant fellowship tailored to your interests.”
