24th Annual Medical Student Research Forum

This annual event will showcase the research accomplishments of the majority of SMPH students, who conduct research under the mentorship of UW faculty mentors during the summer between their first and second year of medical school. Each year, more than 130 students present their work through podium and poster presentations.

Diabetes Day 2024

The Wisconsin Diabetes Research Center presents Diabetes Day 2024! Keynote speaker Douglas G. Mashek, PhD, professor of medicine and biochemistry, molecular biology and biophysics, will present "Breaking Fat: Expanding New Roles for Lipid Droplets in Cellular Function and Disease Etiology." The event also features poster sessions, flash talks and networking opportunities for faculty, students and staff.
