Professional Activities

Dr. Blake Fleeman is a faculty member in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Department of Medicine. As a clinical cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist, Dr. Fleeman specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias (electrical abnormalities of the heart). Dr. Fleeman completed medical school at the University of Illinois in Chicago and internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado in Denver. He then returned to the University of Illinois for a fellowship in general cardiology, serving as chief fellow during this time, and then again returned to the University of Colorado for further training in cardiac electrophysiology. His research is focused on techniques to improve the effectiveness and safety of catheter ablation for arrhythmias.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Fleeman’s clinical interests include minimally-invasive catheter procedures for the treatment of atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias, as well as implantation and management of cardiac devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators.
