Division of General Internal Medicine faculty have exciting opportunities to train the general internists of the future at all stages of their education.
Faculty teach UW School of Medicine and Public Health students rotating through our clinics, inpatient teaching services and didactic sessions. Faculty can also mentor longitudinal groups of medical students through their four years of training.
In addition, division faculty precept our internal medicine residency continuity clinics—one of which is devoted to residents in our dedicated primary care track—and staff our inpatient general medicine teaching services.
Finally, our division co-sponsors a Primary Care Research fellowship and LGTBQ+ Health fellowship, both in collaboration with the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and the Department of Pediatrics.
Education leadership opportunities, especially in curriculum development and mentorship, also abound in our department and school.
