Our faculty members provide care for adults with thyroid diseases, adrenal disorders, disorders of calcium metabolism, metabolic bone disease, pituitary diseases, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and other rare endocrine disorders. We are the major referral center for South-Central Wisconsin and see over 3000 patients annually. We work closely with our colleagues in Endocrine Surgery, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Cytopathology, and Neurosurgery to provide comprehensive, integrated care.

The clinic has an ADA-recognized education program, providing group education classes as well as individualized care. We see over 3000 patients annually. We have the largest insulin pump program in the region and provide state-of-the-art continuous glucose monitoring. There is also ongoing active clinical research studying new treatments and devices for diabetes.

Osteoporosis/Metabolic Bone Disease Clinic

Located at UW West Clinic, this multidisciplinary program provides diagnosis and management of osteoporosis and metabolic bone diseases. The clinic is staffed by faculty from Endocrinology, Geriatrics, and Rheumatology. The team also includes advanced practitioners, specialized nurses, and a physical therapist to provide the necessary education and specialized therapy for the patients. In addition, a bone densitometer is located in the clinic and most faculty members are certified to read DXA scans, allowing patients to get complete care during their clinic visit.

Multidisciplinary Pituitary Clinic

Thyroid Multidisciplinary Clinic

Located at the UW Hospital, this multidisciplinary clinic includes endocrinologists, cytopathologists, and surgeons and provides the opportunity for patients with thyroid nodules to have a complete evaluation in one visit. Services include neck ultrasound, fine needle aspiration (FNA), cytological analysis of the biopsy material, and same-day visits with an endocrine surgeon if indicated. A thyroid cancer registry for all patients followed at the clinic provides an ideal tool for care and research. The clinic also serves as a forum for thyroid cancer survivors (ThyCA).
