Professional Activities

Dr. Roderick Deaño is a faculty member of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine.  He is a cardiologist specializing in advanced cardiac imaging, including coronary CT and echocardiography. He serves as Co-Director of the Cardiac CT Program at the University of Wisconsin and is actively involved in clinical research and education. His work focuses on improving diagnostic pathways for coronary disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, expanding access to cardiovascular care in underserved communities, and mentoring trainees in imaging and general cardiovascular medicine. Dr. Deaño is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and cardiovascular CT. He is also treasurer of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Deaño's medical interests include echocardiograms (transesophageal and transthoracic), cardiac computed tomography, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Research Interests

Dr. Deaño has participated as site (or co-site) investigator on multiple clinical studies and is part of international registries on cardiac computed tomography and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
