Dr. Lavin is a faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine. Her background includes project management expertise in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, during which she implemented and designed inpatient electronic medical records to meet the needs of large health care systems. Dr. Lavin is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association, and has been inducted into he Gold Humanism Honors Society. Past honors include a General Internal Medicine Outstanding Medical Student Award. She co-teaches a UW School of Medicine and Public Health course for medical students (Patient, Doctor and Society) has previously volunteered with MEDiC, a free medical clinic for the underserved population in Madison, and in hospice care.
Dr. Lavin's clinical interests include internal medicine and electronic health record systems.
