Professional Activities

Dr. Mourikes is a faculty member of the Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine. Prior to joining UW-Madison, she served as a physician in Illinois and various Indian Health Service sites and as a faculty member at Rush University Medical Center. Dr. Mourikes is fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in Greek, and has served as a medical provider during medical service trips to The Gambia, rural Chipas, Mexico, and Nicaragua. While at Cook County Hospital, she served as site coordinator for the report "Hunger at Home: A study of food insecurity and hunger among legal immigrants in the United States." She has volunteered with the Marjory Kovler Center for Survivors of Torture since 1995, where she performs forensic evaluations and affidavits for clients seeking political asylum. Dr. Mourikes is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Physicians for a National Health Plan.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Mourikes's clinical interests include internal medicine and pediatric medicine, and provision of primary care to Hispanic youth and adults.
