Professional Activities

Dr. Peter Newcomer is a faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine. He holds the Jeffrey Grossman Chair in Healthcare Leadership, and is the senior associate dean for clinical affairs at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health and the senior vice president and chief clinical officer at UW Health. He provides clinical leadership for patient care across the UW Health enterprise, with the goal of ensuring that patients in all settings receive consistently exceptional, evidence-based care and an outstanding patient- and family-centered experience.

Dr. Newcomer previously served for two years as UW Health's chief ambulatory medical officer, and as vice chair for operations and quality in the Department of Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physician Executives and is an ACP-ASIM member of the American Medical Association.
