Deane Mosher is a faculty member in the Division of Hematology, Oncology and Palliative Care within the Department of Medicine, and has a primary appointment in the Department of Biomolecular Chemistry. Dr. Mosher is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, an H.I. Romnes Fellow, R.F. Schilling WARF Professor, and has been recognized for his mentoring in the basic sciences by the American Society of Hematology. Dr. Mosher’s work focuses on the biochemistry of growth control and the extracellular matrix, blood coagulation disorders, hematologic malignancies
Dr. Mosher’s research focuses on the characterization of structure and function of molecules of blood plasma, platelets, and extracellular matrix. His lab is best known for studies of fibronectin, thrombospondins, and vitronectin and participation in collaborative studies that utilize the reagents and expertise developed over the years.
