A video created by the Department of Medicine on behalf of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) has been selected as a gold winner in the MarCom Awards, an international competition for marketing professionals that is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP).

The video, shown below, is used to promote awareness of a national initiative to improve the health and educational success of school-aged children living with asthma by integrating and coordinating care amongst families, clinicians, and school nurses.

Department of Medicine members involved in the multimedia project include (listed in order from upper to lower right): Robyn Perrin, PhD, communications manager and Clint Thayer, photographer and videographer. The video provided an overview of the School-Based Asthma Management Program (SAMPRO™) and featured AAAAI Past President Robert Lemanske, Jr., MD, professor, and Sujani Kakumanu, MD, clinical assistant professor, both of the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
