In Memoriam: Therese Curran, former medical program associate

With sorrow, members of the Department of Medicine and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine note the untimely death of Therese Curran, former receptionist and medical program associate. Curran, age 51, died unexpectedly in Chicago, Illinois on January 8, 2018 after a fall.

Curran joined the division in 2013 as a receptionist, and became Medical Program Assistant for the Heart Failure and Transplantation team in 2016.

She was born in Newry, Northern Ireland and graduated from Queens University in Belfast, Northern Ireland with honors in Geography and a diploma in administrative management. Curran served as an administrator at Loyola University prior to joining the UW-Madison Department of Medicine.

Colleagues, friends and family remember her wit and wisdom at wordplay. She understood all people were equal, no matter what station in life."
