Dr. Nasia Safdar to receive national award from Epidemiology Society

Nasia Safdar, MD, PhDNasia Safdar, MD, PhD, associate professor, Infectious Disease and vice chair for research, has been selected for the 2017 Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) Mid-Career Scholar Award. 

The honor recognizes the work of an investigator/practitioner in infection prevention and/or healthcare epidemiology who has practiced in the field for 5 to 15 years. 

The award will be formally presented at IDWeek on October 4-8, 2017 in San Diego, California. IDWeek is a joint scientific conference of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), SHEA, the HIV Medicine Association (HIVMA), and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS).
