Dr. Kari Wisinski becomes Chief of the Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care

After a year as interim chief, Kari Wisinski, MD, professor, Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care, has officially become the chief of the division.

In the past year, she has done a remarkable job leading through a time of change and has been a strong advocate for her division.

Her vision for the division includes continuing faculty and APP recruitment, improving clinical operations, increasing enrollment in interventional clinical trials, mentoring junior faculty and supporting wellness and diversity, equity and inclusion.

“It is an honor to have this opportunity to lead the Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care. The division is committed to making a difference for all patients through access to innovative research, training the next generation of physicians and APPs, and providing high-quality and compassionate patient care," she says.
