Cardiovascular program lauded for sixth year in a row for heart attack care excellence

2017 Platinum Performance Achie ement Award ACTION Registry | NCDRUW Health has received the American College of Cardiology Foundation’s National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR) ACTION Registry–GWTG Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2017. 

This is the sixth year in a row that UW Health has received the award, which recognizes commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients

ACTION Registry–GWTG program is a national risk-adjusted, outcomes-based quality improvement program of the American College of Cardiology NCDR that focuses on high-risk ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction patients (NSTEMI). 

The award signifies that UW Health has consistently reached an aggressive goal of treating heart attack patients to levels of care recommended by the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association clinical guidelines.
