Thoracic oncologists in the Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care conduct clinical and translational research to improve cancer outcomes and decrease treatment side effects.

Supported stage I, II, and III clinical trials include UW investigator-initiated trials (including radiation therapy trials), and National Cancer Institute and industry trials.

We also contribute significantly to clinical research on enhancing communication between patients and providers.
