UW Health physicians specializing in geriatrics and gerontology provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and primary and specialty care for individuals over 65 years of age.
Geriatric physicians concentrate on the physical and emotional limitations common in older adults, including such problems as gait/falls, osteoporosis, memory and behavioral disorders and nutrition. UW Health geriatric physicians emphasize multidisciplinary inpatient and outpatient assessment involving a wide spectrum of health care providers, including social work, pharmacy, occupational and physical therapy, nutrition, nursing and medicine.
