Mission and Aims of the Clinical Informatics Fellowship

Mission

To develop physician informatics leaders who will advance health and health equity through remarkable use of clinical information and communication systems to serve patients and communities, outstanding education, and innovative research.

Our program mission aligns with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health's mission.

Program Aims

  • To create an educational environment that encourages both acquisition of foundational knowledge of informatics and exploration of individual interests in the field.
  • To offer experiences with development, analysis, optimization, and innovation of information systems and their users.
  • To spark a desire for lifelong learning, scholarship, and leadership in applied informatics, balanced with the skills for personal growth and wellness
  • To use information and communication systems across the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics/UW Health to deliver remarkable care to advance health without compromise through service, scholarship, science and social responsibility.
