Department of Medicine faculty have numerous opportunities for lectures, workshops and courses to support learning throughout their career.

Department of Medicine Grand Rounds

The Department of Medicine Grand Rounds lecture series features expert speakers from UW–Madison and from across the country.

During the academic year, Grand Rounds lectures are held every Friday from 8:00-9:00 am in the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital Auditorium (Room A1028).

ICEP Learning Opportunities

The UW–Madison Interprofessional Continuing Education Partnership (ICEP), a collaboration between the School of Medicine and Public Health Office of Continuing Professional Development, the School of Nursing Continuing Education in Nursing Program, and the School of Pharmacy Division of Pharmacy Professional Development, offers a variety of professional development opportunities, including:

  • Live conferences
  • Online courses
  • Regularly-scheduled series (Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs or Case Conferences)
  • Maintenance of certification programming
  • Learning communities
