The 2025 Walk for PKD – Milwaukee is coming up on Sunday, September 14, and we’d love for you to join the UW Health team or show your support by donating!
As a PKD Center of Excellence, we’re proud to support this annual event benefiting the PKD Foundation, which funds research and provides support for individuals and families affected by polycystic kidney disease.
UW School of Medicine and Public Health Faculty/Staff Meetings are typically held three times each academic year. The topics discussed at these meetings are broadly relevant to faculty and staff alike and relate to various aspects of the school’s mission. Attending gives everyone a chance to: hear updates from Dean Robert N. Golden, MD, and other administrative leaders, learn more about the school’s goals, participate in question-and-answer sessions, and build community.

Hosted by SMPH HR and Fiscal Affairs, the open house will be from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with an important presentation at 11 a.m. covering how to use Workday and prepare for the transition in July. This is a critical opportunity for employees, particularly supervisors, to learn and get comfortable with Workday ahead of the transition. SMPH Fiscal Affairs staff will be on hand as you test how to create an expense report for reimbursement, how to submit your P-card transactions and receipts for review and approval, and how to purchase catalog or non-catalog items.
