Grant Writing Workshop

The Department of Medicine (DOM) Research Committee, along with the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), will be sponsoring a one-day seminar, "Write Winning Grants!" on Tuesday, April 14, 2020.

The company presenting the seminar, "Grant Writers Seminars and Workshops, LLC," was here in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018. Over 500 faculty, fellows, residents and staff attended—and highly rated each of these workshops.

The DOM Research Committee/SMPH is offering the seminar once again and making it available to other departments as well. This will be a one-day event on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. If you are interested, we need you to commit for the full day!

Why Attend?

There have been some important changes in NIH grant requirements from last year. Even if you attended this seminar before, the speaker will go over these changes and help you to better address issues such as "rigor and reproducibility" and the new clinical trial requirements in your application.

Location, Times and Meals

The seminar will be held in HSLC 1306 from 9:00 to 5:00. Check-in will be open at 8:30; breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The seminar is free for all DOM faculty/staff. However, we are opening this great opportunity to other departments. If someone outside DOM is interested, please contact the Office of Research Services at before registering to get the payment form. There will be a $250.00 fee (for non-DOM faculty/staff), which includes a NIH workbook.

You must register to attend. Please visit this registration link and provide the necessary information.

If you are attending for a second time, please indicate that when registering. The NIH workbook is new, so the company wants us to buy a new book for all (costs $75.00 each).
