Professional Activities

Dr. Wilson is a faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine. With a passion for medical education, she works with medical students and residents, and received a number of awards for her excellence in education during her residency at Wake Forest University. As a medical educator, third-year medical students selected her to receive the best teacher award during her medical residency and chief residency and received the Bryant Kendrick Primary Care Award for third-year internal medicine residents who display compassion for patients and have a passion for teaching others how to excel. As a resident, she helped co-found Women of Wake, an organization dedicated to supporting female residents and fellows. Additionally, she was awarded the George T. Harrell Award for Outstanding Intern within the class. Dr. Wilson is a member of the American College of Physicians as well as the Society of General Internal Medicine. She enjoys using her knowledge of Spanish and medicine to help others. She has participated in medical mission trips in Guatemala and Argentina.
