Professional Activities

Dr. Sancia Ferguson is a faculty member in the Division of Rheumatology within the Department of Medicine, and is the Medical Director for the division. She is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and a leader in improvement science.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Ferguson’s clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and treatment of rheumatic diseases during pregnancy.

Research Interests

Dr. Ferguson’s research focuses on designing, implementing, and improving rheumatology clinical care delivery. She uses the lenses of implementation science, human centered design, and improvement science to design and improve processes, and reduce health disparities.
