Dr. Stephen Halliday is a faculty member in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Medicine and section chief of Pulmonary Medicine at the William S. Middleton Veterans Affairs Hospital. As a medical educator, Dr. Halliday works with medical students, residents, and fellows at UW Hospitals and Clinics and the William S. Middleton Veterans Affairs Hospital, and serves as an associate program director for the pulmonary and critical care fellowship program. As a researcher, Dr. Halliday serves as a site investigator for multicenter clinical trials in critical care and interstitial lung disease. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for numerous top-tier publications in the field.
Dr. Halliday’s clinical interests focus on interstitial lung diseases and the diagnosis and management of life-threatening conditions, such as respiratory and organ failure, that require intensive care.
