Professional Activities

Dr. Jeremy Kratz is a faculty member in the Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care within the Department of Medicine. He has received several awards during his training, including the Doris Duke Physician Scientist Fellowship, the Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO’s Young Investigator Award, Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO’s Merit Award, and the Department of Medicine’s Helen Dickie Fellowship Research Award.

Dr. Kratz is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He serves nationally with the Veteran Administration’s National Precision Oncology Program.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Kratz’s clinical interests focus on the diagnosis, management and treatment of patients with hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancer. He also has a role in the developmental therapeutics team at the UW Carbone Cancer Center.

Research Interests

Dr. Kratz is a physician-scientist with an independent research laboratory in the UW Center for Human Genomics and Precision Medicine and who has interests in hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancer. The goal of his research is to improve the modeling of patient-derived cancer organoids, and ultimately understand how molecular heterogeneity predicts therapeutic sensitivity with the development of new treatment strategies for these cancer types.
