Dr. Yoram Shenker obtained his MD from the Hadassah and Hebrew University Medical School in Jerusalem, Israel. He then completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the Kaplan's Hospital in Rehovot, Israel. He completed his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the University of Michigan. Dr. Shenker joined the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics (UWHC) as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine in 1986 and is a tenured Professor of Medicine.
Dr. Shenker served as the Director of the Endocrinology Training Program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health until 2013. He serves as chair of the Health Sciences Institutional Review Board and is also the Research Subject's Advocate for CRU.
Dr. Shenker's medical interests include aldosterone regulation, atrial natriuretic hormone, clinical hypertension, endocrine hypertension, adrenal disorders and growth hormone replacement as well as general endocrinology.
