Professional Activities

Dr. Reichelderfer is a faculty member in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology within the Department of Medicine. He also holds an appointment with the Department of Surgery and is a member of the Carbone Cancer Center where he is co-chair of the GI Oncology Translational Working Group. Dr. Reichelderfer is a member of a number of professional societies, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Federation for Medical Research, American Gastroenterology Association, and is a fellow with the American College of Physicians.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Reichelderfer sees general GI patients for consultation and gastrointestinal procedures and has extensive experience in all aspects of endoscopy. He also provides services through the UW Health Liver and Pancreas program. 

Research Interests

Dr. Reichelderfer's research interests include improvement in diagnostic imaging and therapy for inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer screening in average-risk and high-risk populations, improved genetic screening for colon and other GI cancer in at-risk families, nutrition and celiac sprue. Specific interested include inflammatory bowel disease and development of new imaging techniques designed to improve non-invasive diagnosis.
