Professional Activities

Dr. Kurt Jacobson is a faculty member of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Jacobson is the director of the UW Interventional Cardiology Fellowship program and a member of the Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship Educational Committee. He is a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and an active member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Medical Association. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, ABIM Cardiovascular Medicine Specialty Boards, and the ABIM Interventional Cardiology Specialty Boards. He serves on several active committees including the UW Cardiology Fellow Clinical Competency Committee, UW Health Anticoagulation Committee, and is co-director of the UW Health Ischemic Heart Disease dyad. Dr. Jacobson is the director of the UW Health Pulmonary Embolism Response Team and co-director of the UW Health Left Atrial Appendage Closure for Stroke Prevention in Afib program.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Jacobson’s is an interventional cardiologist with medical interests including the endovascular treatment and management of complex coronary artery disease, adult structural and valvular heart disease, and acute complex venous thromboembolic disease.
