What is your primary professional focus as it relates to our mission areas (clinical, research and/or medical education)?
I am a medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer with a focus on clinical research.

What drew you to UW–Madison and the Department of Medicine? 
I practiced in Milwaukee for 23 years and often consulted with Madison colleagues on challenging cases. Their commitment to clinical research and evidence-based medicine inspired me, and ultimately motivated my decision to join the UW–Madison team.

What are you most excited about during your first year with the department in this role?
I greatly enjoy working with my University of Wisconsin (UW) Carbone Cancer Center colleagues and the clinical trial options available to patients.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?  
I enjoy spending time outdoors, and I find gardening to be both relaxing and rewarding. 

Favorite piece of advice from a mentor or inspiring figure in your life?
In medicine, it is important to identify your core passions and dedicate yourself fully to them.
