What is your primary professional focus as it relates to our mission areas (clinical, research and/or medical education)?
For now, I’m focusing on clinical practice but hope to be involved with medical education in the future.
What drew you to UW–Madison and the Department of Medicine?
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, there is a commitment to serving the community with excellent healthcare, and an emphasis on teaching.
What are you most excited about during your first year with the department in this role?
As my first job after residency, I’m most excited to gain confidence in clinical practice and in a new setting.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I enjoy traveling, cross country skiing, and I’m looking forward to exploring Madison.
Favorite piece of advice from a mentor or inspiring figure in your life?
One of my residency mentors taught that we could learn something valuable from every patient we encounter if only we keep an open mind to authentically listen to their story.
