What is your primary professional focus as it relates to our mission areas (clinical, research and/or medical education)?
My primary focus is on comprehensive patient-centered cardiovascular care and medical education.
What drew you to UW–Madison and the Department of Medicine?
What drew me to UW–Madison and the Department of Medicine was the opportunity to work with incredible people, be a part of cutting-edge cardiovascular science, and grow my career in different areas. UW–Madison has so many wonderful resources that enable us to deliver outstanding cardiovascular care for the patient.
What are you most excited about during your first year with the department in this role?
I am most excited to build my clinical practice and establish the roots for longitudinal relationships with my patients. I also look forward to my new role as a medical educator working with fellows, residents, and medical students.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I enjoy spending time with my family. We love to be active outdoors, travel, and listen and dance to live music.
Favorite piece of advice from a mentor or inspiring figure in your life?
Always ask, “how can I help?” and you’ll never go wrong.
