Professional Activities

Dr. Usman is a faculty member in the Division of Hospital Medicine within the Department of Medicine. He serves as Program Director for the UW International Medical Student/Graduate Observership Program, supporting the clinical education of international trainees through structured inpatient experiences. He is actively involved in Hospital Medicine Interview Committee, Physician Onboarding Committee, and Peer Review Committee, with a focus on maintaining high standards of patient care and continuous quality improvement. He is also dedicated to medical education of students and residents.

In addition to clinical and educational roles, Dr. Usman contributes to ongoing research efforts through the Hospital Medicine Clinical Trials Group, assisting with patient recruitment for active studies. He has been recognized with the Division of Hospital Medicine Teamwork Award for his collaborative contributions.
