Professional Activities

Dr. Pedro Salinas is an adjunct clinical assistant professor part of critical care services at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine and neurocritical care. He is also the director of the cardiac intensive care unit at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center and serves as the point of care director for the critical care fellowship and internal medicine residency there. He is also the co-chair of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center. He actively teaches basic and advanced workshops for large organizations such as the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Additionally, he holds advanced certification in critical care echocardiography from the National Board of Echocardiography and is both a member and fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography. In March, he traveled to Ukraine to teach medical staff there about POCUS. He is a fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM), of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE) and of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP).

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Salinas' clinical interests include critical care echocardiography, clinical reasoning and airway management.

Research Interests

Dr. Salinas has a special research interest in RV echocardiographic parameters for risk stratification in PE.
