Professional Activities

Dr. Luis Lomeli is a faculty member in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology within the Department of Medicine. As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Lomeli provides care to patients with a variety of diseases and disorders of the digestive tract. He is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Lomeli was selected for an Excellence in Quality Improvement Award by the Department of Medicine for a project focusing on clinical management of eosinophilic esophagitis. He provides clinical and classroom instruction to medical students and trainees.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Lomeli's clinical interests include general gastroenterology with a focus on the diagnosis and treatment of eosinophilic esophagitis, dysphagia, esophageal motility disorders (esophageal spasm, achalasia), and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
