Professional Activities

Dr. Evan Klein is a faculty member in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine within the UW Department of Medicine. Dr. Klein joined the University of Wisconsin Advanced Heart Failure section in the summer of 2020, where he has been focused on providing excellent clinical care to his patients and providing education to UW's medical students, residents and fellows. Dr. Klein started as the Associate Program Director for UW's Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship in 2022, and subsequently took over as the Program Director in July of 2025.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Klein’s clinical interests include improving the quality of life for patients with lifestyle-limiting symptoms of heart failure through the use of optimal medical therapies, temporary and/or durable mechanical circulatory support devices, and/or heart transplantation.
