Professional Activities

Dr. Ryan Kipp is a faculty member in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Department of Medicine. He is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society and the American Heart Association. He served as director of electrophysiology at the William S Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital from 2014 to 2021, and has been the director of the UW Health Pacemaker and Defibrillator Clinic since 2021. 

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Kipp specializes in the use of minimally invasive procedures to treat arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation (AF), supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), premature ventricular complexes (PVCs), ventricular tachycardia (VT) and ventricular fibrillation (VF). His practice is particularly focused on advanced management of VT and VF, which includes performing endocardial and epicardial ablations and hemodynamically-supported ablation. He also specializes in the implantation and management of pacemakers and defibrillators.

Research Interests

Dr. Kipp’s research focuses on the factors impacting the development/treatment of arrhythmias and on clinical outcomes following electrophysiology procedures.
