Professional Activities

Dr. Ella Christoph is a faculty member in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine within the Department of Medicine. She is also a member of multiple professional societies, including the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Christoph's clinical interest is adult critical care, including acute hypoxic respiratory failure, multi-organ failure and end-of-life care. She works as a critical care attending in the Trauma and Life Support Center (TLC) at University Hospital.

Research Interests

Dr. Christoph is interested in improving patient and family experiences in the intensive care unit. She uses qualitative and quantitative methodologies to understand the impact of communication, trust, and teamwork on patient, family, and clinician experiences and outcomes.
