Dr. Chodara is a faculty member in the Division of Rheumatology within the Department of Medicine. She is the Program Director of the University of Wisconsin Rheumatology Fellowship and previously served as Associate Program Director for the past four years. She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists (USSONAR), and serves as a mentor in the USSONAR Fundamentals training course, which she completed as a rheumatology fellow. Dr. Chodara has received RhMSUS™ certification from the American College of Rheumatology and performs diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal ultrasound procedures in clinic.
She is also part of the ORION Initiative addressing rural health disparities by training regional primary care providers on rheumatologic musculoskeletal ultrasound. Dr. Chodara serves as attending physician for residents, fellows and precepts medical students. She has received the Star Educator Award from the Department of Medicine twice. Dr. Chodara is passionate about advancing the training of learners of all levels in the knowledge and clinical practice of rheumatology.
Dr. Chodara’s clinical interests include connective tissue disease-associated interstitial lung disease, rheumatologic musculoskeletal ultrasound, and inflammatory and crystalline arthritis. She is part of the UW Multidisciplinary Rheumatology-Pulmonary Interstitial Lung Disease Clinic.
Dr. Chodara’s research interests include connective tissue disease-related interstitial lung disease and the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in guiding the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatologic conditions.
