Dr. Nathaniel Chin is a faculty member in the Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology in the Department of Medicine. As a clinical geriatrician, he provides medical care for older adults in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. He serves as director of medical services at the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (WARDC) and the medical services director for the Wisconsin Registry for Alzheimer’s Prevention (WRAP) study. Dr. Chin has provided classroom instruction on topics in geriatrics to physical therapy and occupational therapy students. He also has conducted outreach education for the general public on Alzheimer’s disease and related topics through lectures, panel discussions, and as founder and host of the Dementia Matters podcast of the WARDC. Dr. Chin is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Geriatric Society, and the International Society to Advance Alzheimer’s Research and Treatment. Dr. Chin has been selected for honors and awards including the Presidential Poster Award in the Neurological and Behavioral Sciences at the American Geriatric Society scientific meeting, induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and the University of California San Diego Department of Medicine’s “Going the Extra Mile” Award for demonstrating an exceptional work ethic during residency training.

Dr. Chin’s clinical interests include geriatric medicine, Alzheimer’s disease, and dementia.
